Tightsculpting®

Fotona Tightsculpting is the latest non-invasive, non surgical body shaping procedure. It utilizes laser energy to both reduce and sculpt fat tissue, as well as comfortably tightening the skin over the area treated.

How does the treatment work?

The treatment is completed in two phases, the first gives deep connective tissue tightening and fat reduction. Using Fotona's Piano pulse mode, the energy is delivered to fat cells, which are stimulated and heated safely and comfortably.

The second phase of the treatment focuses on tightening the superficial layers of skin using a non ablative smooth mode. Ther energy from the laser both tightens collagen fibres and stimulates the production of the new collagen. This results in effective tightening of the skin, enhanced elasticity and gives the skin more youthful overall appearance.

For some, both phases are not required and the second skin tightening phase can be performed as a stand alone treatment.

Treatment Information

Why is Tightsculpting® so great?

Tightsculpting is an excellent way to get that stubborn body fat that doesn’t respond to diet and exercise.  The fat cells that have been destroyed during treatment will release the triglycerides, which are then broken down into 3 free fatty acids and glycerol, and transported to the liver to be used as energy. During your course of treatment we recommend that you follow a healthy lifestyle nutrition plan in order to facilitate and utilize the released free fatty acids as a source of energy and nutrients for the body. This will ensure optimization of your program and therefore may improve the results.

Pre Treatment

  • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment. This will help to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

  • Avoid sun exposure: Avoid sun exposure for at least a week before your treatment, as exposure to UV rays can make your skin more sensitive.

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol: Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol for at least a week before your treatment. Smoking and alcohol consumption can reduce your skin's ability to heal and recover.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications: Avoid taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for at least a week before your treatment, as they can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

Post Treatment

  • Avoid sun exposure: Avoid sun exposure for at least a week after your treatment, as exposure to UV rays can make your skin more sensitive.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause sweating for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

  • Avoid hot baths and saunas: Avoid hot baths and saunas for at least a week after your treatment, as the heat can increase swelling and discomfort.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that does not rub or irritate the treated area.

  • Moisturize: Apply a moisturizing lotion or cream to the treated area to keep it hydrated and healthy.

  • To assist the body in removing the destructed fat from the treatment, it is important to incorporate a healthy diet and lifestyle.  This includes:

  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and help your body flush out toxins. Aim for at least 8-10 glasses of water per day.  Water consumption contributes and facilitates the fat clearance metabolic pathways. Consuming enough water reduces hunger, increases metabolism and stimulates the circulation.

  • Protein: Include protein-rich foods such as lean meats, fish, beans, and legumes in your diet. Protein is essential for building and repairing tissues, which can aid in the recovery process after treatment.

  • Healthy fats: Incorporate healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil into your diet. These foods can help keep your skin healthy and nourished.

  • Fruits and vegetables: Consume a variety of fruits and vegetables to ensure that you are getting a wide range of vitamins and minerals that can support overall health and skin health. Aim for at least 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

  • Whole grains: Choose whole-grain carbohydrates such as brown rice, quinoa, and whole-grain bread instead of processed grains. Whole grains are more nutrient-dense and can help keep you full for longer.

  • Limit processed foods and sugar: Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks, which can contribute to inflammation and skin damage.

  • Reduce alcohol and caffeine: Limit alcohol and caffeine intake, which can dehydrate the body and contribute to skin dryness and aging.
